I am looking for success stories from TESC graduates. That is people who have received a bachelor degree from TESC and gone on to graduate programs at other schools. I am working with a high school student who would like to pursue a BS in History from TESC with the goal in mind of being a museum curator, but is questioning if the TESC degree will be accepted by other grad schools. Any feedback is welcome.
Thank you,
Debbie

Hi Debbie,
My son who is 23 finished his TESC BA Computer Science in December 2010 and just accepted a full tuition waiver and TA stipend from FSU for a Masters in Computer Science that will cover almost all of his Graduate school and living expenses. He also had three years of work experience as a Computer Technician. We feel very, very fortunate. He worked hard to get to this point.
Excelsior - BS Business 2008
Son #1 TESC BSBA Computer Information Systems completed June 2010
Son #2 TESC BA Computer Science completed November 2010 Currently in Florida State (FSU) Masters CS program and loving it

Is there any possibility that you would be able to share his course list to graduation? Did he test out of most of his degree or part of it? Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

There aren't that many museum curator positions in this world so I would be very very skeptical about choosing that as a line of work.
Open up the local newspaper and look for museum curator positions. Now look for RN, accounting, sales, marketing, information technology, legal etc positions. You really need to be realistic about how you are going to pay the bills.
You are doing the right thing considering TESC and the big three in general and testing out options, however think very carefully about your career path so that you don't end up occupying wall street a few years from now.
BSBA CIS from TESC, BA Natural Science/Math from TESC
MBA Applied Computer Science from NCU
Enrolled at NCU in the PhD Applied Computer Science
