Anyone know of simmilar courses that will transfer to TESC?
Here is what I have planned (forced to take):
White Collar Crime
Victimology and Criminal Behavior
Public Policy, Crime & Criminal Justice
Terrorism
Research Methods in Social Science
If anyone has taken theses classes I would really like to hear your thoughts on these.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'm looking for the same courses to take elsewhere too! Trying to cut down on the cost
Have you checked out the Victimology course at Adams State College? You can view it
here as well as other Criminal Justice courses. The tuition is $360 and it is independent study. I'm still waiting for them to send me the instructions and material for the course so I can't tell you much about it.

I should also add that
Penn Foster has these courses: White Collar Crime,
Victimology, and Terrorism that you can take. However, they require certain pre-requisites so I wasn't able to take them. Also if cost isn't an issue for you,
Ball State University offers Victimology and Research Methods via independent study.
University of Northern Iowa also offers several CJ courses that might be worth checking out. I Hope that helps!

Just to update, I ended up taking Terrorism, White Collar Crime and Victimology from Penn Foster. They were alot cheaper than taking them a TESC. The down side is they are awarded as credit w/no grade.
If you are not completing a degree at Penn Foster, then you do not have to take the pre-req. for the above courses...
Hope this helps someone!

My Antiterrorism Level II course that I attended through the USAF counted at 2 credits toward the "Terrorism" requirement. Even though it was only 2 credits my eval. listed the requirement as complete and I just have to make up the 1 credit in CJ electives. I also took the
TheBackup.com 2 credit terrorism course, but have yet to finish the transcripting process through North Idaho College. We shall see...

CCAF-AS Bio-Environmental Science
Cerro Coso Community College-AS Administration of Justice
Excelsior College-BS Criminal Justice-2008

Which class did you take at AMU? Public Policy or Research Methods? Can you let me know what the workload was like? How many papers or projects? Was there a proctored midterm or final?

Bumping this thread in hopes that there are other options for CJ equivalents at TESC. Anyone?
