I am enrolled in the April online course for Social Psychology and our mid-term is next week. Its my understanding that each student will receive a random test with two essay questions to be completed from the first six chapters of our texts. Anyone taken an exam similar to this and if so, can you let me know how you studied for it? Also, how difficult was this type of exam for you? TIA!

My best suggestion is to know your topics and reread your written assignments. I haven't heard about different questions for different students. I took the GS course and used ProctorU. If I recall, it was 4 questions worth 25 points each. I wrote as much as I could and tried to incorporate real world situations that I was familiar with.

I took the exam on Friday and scored a 96! Thanks to everyone for your tips!
Hgreen, it was 4 essay questions each worth 25%. They covered material from the first 7 chapters. Its my understanding that there are a pool of questions and 4 are randomly assigned to students, so no one gets the same exam. I would say if you just read the chapters over once and are familiar with the concepts of all of the other assignments that are assigned that's more than enough preparation. Good luck with the course. So far for me it's been enjoyable and the workload is not that bad for a 6 credit course.
