200 level or above are counted as UL credits at TESC.

Each degree program has it's own requirements. A BA, for example, requires 33 credits for the major. 27 of these have to be upper level (200 or higher).

I'm trying to find that information in one of their pdf files. I'm trying to decide if EC or TESC would be better for me.

Nevermind I get it...33 - 6 = 27
I need 27 credits of 200, 300, or 400 level courses.

Thanks HawkGuy

It's on page 48 of the course catalog. Here's some quotes:

"The Bachelor of Arts degree requires 120 credits: 60 credits in the general education distribution, 33 credits in the area of concentration, area of study or liberal studies area and 27 credits in free electives."

"Students complete 33 credits in the liberal studies area of study. Courses transferred to Thomas Edison State College are equated to the following levels: 100, 200, 300 or 400. A maximum of two college-level courses equating to 100 level numbers may be applied toward the liberal studies area of study. A deeper knowledge of some subjects is provided by requiring the remaining liberal studies area of study college-level courses be taken at levels 200, 300 or 400."

That last part is for the Liberal Studies degree. Different degrees have different requirements.

What upper division credits for TESC are consider upper for the history degree? which of the 27 do i need?
#9
I considered TESC's history major before settling on English instead.

The history major requires two semesters of Western Civ, two semesters of American History, one course in non-Western history, and the rest are history electives. It looks like the history major requires twelve hours of 100-level work instead of the 6-hour limit for the liberal studies degree.

Good luck!
