Quick question to whoever has taken (or is taking) this class.
I took Financial Management at Penn Foster to fulfill the finance BSBA requirement at TESC. Penn foster sent me the 9th edition of Basic Finance when I took it with them. My girlfriend is now taking this course at TESC and she is required to use the 10th edition of the same book. I checked on google books and it seems that both edition are basically the same.
Has anyone used the 9th edition recently at TESC for this course?

Generally, the few differences from one edition to the next is the end of chapter problems. That can get problematic since TESC courses generally use those as your graded assignments. The best course of action would be to email the course mentor as soon as the course opens and ask them if it will be a problem (warning: they'll probably say yes unless they've been mentoring long enough to have both editions and are motivated to burn a calorie to help a student and look).
If it does turn out to be a problem, you have a same-day solution to a problem so she will not be without the correct textbook by renting through Chegg -
Basic Finance An Introduction to Financial Institutions- Investments and Management 10th edition by Mayo | 9781111820633 | Chegg.com which provides a free 7-day access to the e-book while the rental ships, or you could just use the e-book for the term for a few dollars less.
Another possible solution when using a lower edition text for the lesson material is to get a solutions manual for the correct 10th edition to do the assignment problems (they tend to be considerably cheaper) IF the publisher put all the questions as well as the answers in it; not all publishers do, so she may still be out of luck. To try that option, I'd do some research and see if you can find a forum somewhere where you can make sure the solution manual has the questions listed, and not just the answers as some publishers do.
