For those of you in TESC for the Janurary semester:
It's mid-terms......this is my first time doing this. Aren't we supposed to receive notification from TESC that our mid-terms were sent to the chosen/approved proctor of our choice?
I assume I should call my proctor ASAP to see if they received all 3 of my mid-terms for my classes.

All the info you need is in the proctor verification email you received at the beginning of course. You will not receive a separate test mailed notification. I call my proctor 2 weeks prior to midterm to schedule appointment and he will then confirm he received the exams.

yeah, I've been calling my proctoring facility for a week. As of today they haven't received my mid-terms from TESC.....surprise.
TESC says they have to wait 4 weeks from the time they were first mailed to be considered lost and to send them out again.
Mid-terms are this week and I would have loved for things to be just friggin' normal for once and take them this week like everyone else.

If your having issues with the timing of mail delivery ask the testing dept to send yours out earlier. TESC is actually very good with special requests.

They told me it was mailed out the last week of January. They won't mail them again until it's been 4 weeks and then it can be considered lost in the mail and qualify to be re-sent. As far as mail delivery time...., well, one would assume that 3 weeks should be ample time to be delivered.
Anyways...thanks for the dialogue.

TESC just told me over phone that it's not uncommon at all for exams to take several weeks to reach the testing facility, happens every semester.
Um....wouldn't that mean it would be better if they mailed them SOONER? F-ing ridiculous.:ack:

They do sometimes get lost...its happened to me once (going from tesc to mentor). But several weeks, i'm sure this must be in reference to tests mailed overseas or in rural areas. I hope your next semester will be smooth sailing. Anyway while waiting you have more time to study which is good; most TESC exams are not easy (IMHO). Good luck!

For the money we pay they should insist on fedex, the USPS is not to be trusted for important and timely shipments.
