Has anyone ever noticed an instructor disappearing from the course selection list? I am getting ready to sign up for the Lib-495 capstone course, I was viewing the "course selection" through MyEdison. There are only two Guided Study Courses the first is full and the second was being taught by Nina J. Rosenbaum-Haydel as of 2:00pm today. Two hours later the course that Nina Haydel was teaching has been replaced by instructor "M. Herrera". It is the same course LIB-495-GS002, but in two hours the instructor changed???
Secondly, has anyone taken a course with Dr. Michele L. Herrera? There is nothing on ratemyprofessor.

Funny story bout that. I signed up for a course (TESC's "Leaders in History") with one professor. Some days before the course was to start, I was on my Online Student Services and saw the instructor had changed! In that case, I'm really thankful that happened because the new prof was so much better than I'd heard the previous one was. But it was kinda disconcerting that something like that happened at all, especially after I'd signed up for one prof.

That happened to me as well! I remember I was supposed to be under one instructor because she was the only one who had slots open, only to find that I was under Dr. Haydel. It's great that I was, because you couldn't ask for a better mentor than Dr. Haydel!

Yeah it kind of sucks to be honest. I decided I wanted to take the Guided study for my captstone course, and I saw that Dr. Haydel was heading one of the two that was available. After a quick review she had good reviews on here and ratemyprofessor, I take the dog for a walk and the professor in charge was switched....
I guess disconcerting is a good word to use, but now I can't find any reviews on Dr. Michele L. Herrera. I've read that a bad instructor can really make the capstone course that much more stressful.
At least I'm not the only person to have this instructor switch happen, but just in case they don't switch it back....
As anyone taken a course with Dr. Michele L. Herrera????

If you're going to be signing up for the guided study Capstone for January, I would highly recommend Catherine Peck if she still has openings. I'm finishing up my October term with her and she's only been wonderful and helpful. Just thought I'd throw that in there for anyone trying to figure out a good professor; looks like there are quite a few to choose from in January.

I just registered for the LibArts Capstone course with Dr Tomko for the January 2014, guided study course. This is my final course towards my BA. Does anyone have any experience with Dr Tomko for the Capstone course or suggestions with the guided study ? I have not taken a guided study class and was looking for some input.

Hello. While TESU sorts out my transcripts, I would like to get ready by choosing a mentor for my BA-LS Capstone. I have heard wonderful reviews of Hansen, but unfortunately, she does not seem to be on board for April 2019. Help me choose between: B. Moore, N. Haydel, A. Black & J. Cody.
A. Tomko & C. Peck are there for the GS option. But I suppose the online option is better, as it distributes your score between regular online postings and your capstone project?
I believe @vetvso had Cody as his mentor, and gave good reviews?

I can highly recommend Dr Cody. He very flexible on subjects and is responsive to communication. He also makes good comments on your drafts.
I certainly think there online course is a better bet as the blog posts felt to me like free points. Others have felt differently though.
