Anyone here know if TESC takes Penn Foster's English for credit. Despite passing a departmental english test and getting credit for second semester freshman english through my local cc, TESC in its infinite wisdom states I now need to take second semester English. I failed English clep by one point before taking freshman english by class, do not want to retake the clep exam, would rather sit through the class. Anyone that knows if TESC will take Penn Foster's english for credit, please let me know.

I believe if it is ACE accredited and transcribed, you will be ok, otherwise no.
I did Eng 102 thru AMU 8 weeks and 3 essays only.

American Military University and they are RA. I am really not sure of the cost. Also bat21 there was only 3 essays and no research paper? Thats actually good news for people that do not like to write and need English102.

Thanks for the heads up regarding AMU, but at $750.00 for the course think I'll try the clep again, its been six months and I missed it by one point plus have had two english courses since then. A lot of research and a lot of essays, think I'll do better this time. At any rate cost of clep test versus cost of course at AMU = $650.00 in my pocket. I'll try before I search for another course of action. As of today, I have found three mistakes on my evalution from TESC, they left off two of my clep tests and gave me no credit for departmental test out at my community college despite letter written by the dean that I passed with a grade of 96. I also had to argue as to placement of my environmental science with lab course, they placed it in free electives leaving me needing another 4.33 hours of natural science. I'm scared and excited to realize that I might just graduate this spring if I keep the ball rolling. Back to the books.

American Military University/ American Public University is both N/A and R/A accredited.
I was not required to write a "Research Paper per say" but you must use MLA and have your works cited page.

Have you looked into StraighterLine for your ENG102? If you spend a couple hours a day you could knock it out in a month or so, and the cost would be similar to taking the CLEP.

Along the same lines. Do you think uexcel would count as ENG102 TESC? I have ENG101. I need ENG 102 and previously already set up a date for Uexcel but I might cancel it if that will not work for ENG102 with TESC. I know someone will say chekc with TESC but I am not enrolled. What do you guys think?
