Hello,
I'm working on my BA Comp Sci at TESC and was planning on fulfilling my calculus requirement via the USDA Graduate school (graduateschool.edu) and just completed calc 1 with them. To my dismay, this course has been discontinued at GraduateSchool.edu so I am unable to complete Calc II with them. Will TESC accept straighterline calc II for computer science? Does anyone know of any other alternatives for TESC Clac II other than taking a traditional course? Thanks!

A little late on this reply, but maybe I can help...sort of. I'm taking Calculus 1 right now through a community college online. I highly recommend that you be careful with CC courses. I had taken some business courses through this CC without issue, but this course is terrible. I'll probably get an A, but only through resourcefulness elsewhere (Khan Academy, primarily). The teacher isn't involved--like, you know, actually posting information on how to learn the material. It's basically "Here's a few required homework problems and the exams; you figure everything out...if you can." Which is fine for me, in a way, though it seems a bit lame since it's supposed to be a taught course.
Anyway, after talking to a friend of mine who used to teach higher math, and whose son recently got a mathematics degree through TESC, I'm planning to take Calc 2 through the University of North Dakota online. It's relatively inexpensive and appears to be much more together. My friend and his son were very pleased with the quality of the math courses there. The other thing that's nice is that they have an "at your own pace" option. So if you're already fairly comfortable with the material, you can go through quicker than normal. Or, if you're like I'm probably going to be, a little under-prepared, you can take up to nine months.
I'm an engineer. Go figure.
