TESC CLEP Policy for anyone interested
#11
.....Somehow, I thought that College Board and Prometrics might just be considered "other institutions".......

" Credits from other institutions are also added approximately four weeks after they are received."

My only aim with this post was to make sure that people understand the need to PLAN AHEAD at TESC. I will be relieved when I see those credits appear.

Thanks, Greg

My first CLEP was posted to my TESC transcript within one week of taking it! The second one, not so much! It took about 4 weeks but I was not in a rush so I was not worried about it. The next two weeks had a batch of 4 TECEP's and 3 CLEPS and 2 DSST's were flooding into the TESC office fast and furious!

I talked with the Registrars office a few weeks ago because I was getting antsy about my April 1 cut off for graduation etc. They could not have been nicer and got the TECEP's all posted that week and then the CLEP's the minute the reports got there from CollegeBoard.

I did learn that CB sends the reports on paper in the mail !!! Can you imagine?? I figured they sent the reports electronically or by smoke signals at least. But by mail to the receiving college. That adds at least a week if not more to the processing time.

Agreed, plan ahead.
The advisor, I believe, was simply distinguishing between classes earned n house vs classes earned elsewhere. (not to be confused with CLEPs taken in house vs CLEPs taken elsewhere)
