TESC Business Electives with SL - 1 left, which one?
#1
Hi Everyone,

I'm one class away from finishing my ASBA at TESC which is super exciting for me! I've got plans for going on to pursue a BA but felt that it would best for me to take it one step at a time, and the AA is the first one. Anyhow, this last class is supposed to fall into my Business Electives. TESC suggests accounting, banking, business, computer applications, computer information systems, finance, management, hotel/motel/restaurant management, insurance, marketing, operations management, public administration, real estate law, retailing management and human resource management.

I've already done a bunch of SL courses and am hoping to knock this one out with another SL, but I'm not sure what one would fit for this...I was thinking Organizational Behavior, but after some searching on the forum, I found that this is usually considered a humanities or psychology course...Any input? Thanks in advance!

FYI - I've already done:

Intro to Macroeconomics
Intro to Computing
Intro to Marketing
Intro to Management
Intro to Business
Business Ethics
Business Law
SL Accounting 1 --> at TESC translated into Principles of Managerial Accounting
SL Accounting 2 --> at TESC translated into Principles of Financial Accounting

Organizational behavior is transcribed differently depending upon your major. As a business major it will transfer in as MAN-311.

Thanks for your quick response! Do you know if MAN-311 will satisfy a buisness elective? or should I make an appointment with an adviser and find out?

I'm 98.7% sure that it is a business elective. But also double-check degree requirements with the registrar, or wait for a business major to comment ITT.

For future reference in case someone else now or in the future (*waves* hi!!) needs to know, I called TESC's academic advising and asked and was told that MAN-311 does satsify a business elective. I was warned that this may not always be the case (pay attention now, kids in the future!) Also, the list of courses that they give for business electives are merely suggestions, so feel free to find other business classes!
