I was planning on majoring in History at TESC and using a degree plan I found on this forum. However, I have discovered that my company will help me out with some tuition costs if I major in Liberal Studies as oppposed to just history (go figure). Can anyone give me some advice on how to proceed? Below is a rough outline of what I have so far from CLEP, DSST, FEMA and my AA in General studies from AMU.
English
Comp 1 & 2 - CC
Humanities
Public Speaking -CC
Religions of the World -CC
Music Appreciation- CC
World Literature 1 - AMU
Social Sciences
Psychology-CC
Sociology -CC
American Gov't -CLEP
Abnormal Psychology(?) -CC
Microeconomics -If AB PSY isn't accepted - Straighterline
Natural Science and Mathematics
Biology 1- AMU
Introduction to Computing- DSST
College Algebra- AMU
Need 1 Science Class
Gen Ed Electives
15-18 (depending on where AB psy falls)
CC, AMU, etc.
History
Western Civ 1 -Straighterline
US Hist 1 & 2 -CC
Electives (History)
Civil War - DSST
Vietnam War - DSST
Free Electives (Need 27 hours)
7 FEMA
9 from CC business classes, if TESC accepst D grades
The rest could be filled with FEMA.

Using your list I'll offer some help:
-Abnormal Psychology is PSY-350 at TESC, use
Thomas Edison State College: Course Offerings to search for courses not offered at TESC, even though you took it at a CC it will most likely transfer as this course (and upper level :coolgleam
-For your Nat Sci/Math, you need any course which fits into this area (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science [Specific Courses], Earth Sciences, Enviro Sci, Geology, Math, Natural/Physical Sciences (NAS), Physics, or Statistics). Since you have Algebra, consider a Math exam like College Mathematics, or use a program like ALEKS and take a course like Intermediate Algebra which is easier than the one you have but still counts as college level. You could also use
-TESC takes "D" grades as long as they are not in the area of study or in English Composition. In your case you can use them as Free Electives as long as your GPA stays above 2.0.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Not the TESC expert, but looks like any of the DSST History Exams fit the bill, 3 at the UL:
HIS-222-DE Western Europe since 1945
HIS-252-DE The Civil War and Reconstruction
HIS-309-DE An Introduction to the Modern Middle East
HIS-351-DE A History of the Vietnam War
HIS-386-DE Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union
DANTES
Note that 2 CLEP exams are considered UL (Management and Marketing, they are considered to be on the easier side)
CLEP - College-Level Exam Program
Good Luck
MBA, Western Governors University February 2014
BS Charter Oak State College November 2011
AS in EMS August 2010
I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
