I will finish my final course on Dec. 21, but grades are not due until Jan. 6. The professor is extremely slow about grading, so I don't expect to see a grade until the due date. This presents a problem since the graduation application deadline is 1 Jan. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation. According to the TESC website courses that complete in December are eligible for March graduation, but I don't see how that works with the dates. At this point I plan to submit my application as soon as I finish the final for the course, but I was curious if anyone else had dealt with a similar situation.

there is a notes section on the graduation form where you can put that your pending class posting. It should be fine. It took them weeks to process mine anyway. So it will probably be posted by the time they get to it.

Agree with stretch army. I've dealt with this situation twice now and have walked numerous people through the process. Take a look at section 3 of the
request for graduation form. All existing courses and transcripts not yet received are to be listed in this section. You just need to submit the grad form on, or prior to, the proper date. Your file can be in queue as late as 2wks prior to actual conferral and still get processed if your form was submitted on time. Once, the form is received and cleared by the bursar you will receive an email from the graduation specialist, confirming receipt. Keep that email handy as it will include the grad specialist's contact information. Once you see the final grade has posted to the college, not the online grade report page but on the academic evaluation or the unofficial transcript section, send the graduation specialist an email. She will then pull your file and complete the audit/certification process.Good luck!
