Penn Foster and TESC Liberal Studies
#11
thanx nap - unfortunately i'm already maxed out at the 200 level credits. they count aleks stats as a STA-201. So if i was short of 200s, then i would definitely hit that up. But i need 15 more 300+ level credits in the areas of Social Science, Humanities, Natural Science, or Math.

For a TESC Liberal Studies degree you need 33 concentration credits.
6 can be at the 100 level
9 can be at the 200 level
and 18 minimum MUST be at the 300 level

I think what im gonna do is:
Vietnam War (HIS-352)
World Religions (Humanities something 401)
Organizational Behavior (PSY-301)

and then do
ECE World Pop (Social Science 321 or something)
and ECE Adulthood and Aging (PSY 341)

i could do Modern Middle East and Money and Banking but i heard theyre super hard

i heard World Pop and A&A are one of the easiest of the ECEs - doesnt mean theyre easy - just more doable than the other DSSTs i could take.

Whatch you think about THAT, NAP!?

(thanx for the reminder of ALEKS stats though. Anybody reading this thread will definitely be helped if they need more 200level credits)

Thanks for clarifying the ALEKS situation. I was looking at ALEKS Business Stats which is awarded 300-level credit at TESC, but it is hard to say if it would be counted as “Arts & Sciences”.

I didn’t realize that you were open to the possibility of taking ECEs, since the cost is higher.

I am glad to see that you have lots of ways to finish your degree!

nap - u always have more to add and think about. i like it.
i didnt know business stats was counted as a 300+. ill have to look into that deeper.
i doubt it would be counted towards the arts & sciences cause of the business name in it but maybe cuz it IS statistics which is in the math category.

Hey Nap - or anybody - do you know what Stats for the Behavorial Science ALEKS course counts as? and also whats the name that ALEKS would be accepted as for Business Stats since it is a 300+ level course for TESC? Does it look like:STA-311 or something.

if it does you mite be on to something Nap a dap.

You're too much!

I could be wrong, but I think this is the latest list for ALEKS and TESC:

http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...#post76225

The other 2 stats at ALEKS are STA201.

ALEKS Business Stats is OPM351. What does OPM stand for?

OPerational Management would be my guess.
Unfortunately I dont think Business Stats would qualify as an art or science credit.
Lame.
But that was fun to research and think about.

This forums like craps - youre rolling the dice like "could i get 3 upper level units for this? ComE ON 7!"
