TEEX UL AoS for BSBA-CIS
#1
That's a lot of abbreviations.

I'm curious where the Information Risk Management (AWR-177) UL single credit course from TEEX falls at TESU? I'm a single UL credit short in my AoS for a BSBA-CIS. I've got CAP-385 from my original work with TEEX which counts as two UL credits - which I believe can be moved into the AoS as it's currently an elective. I've seen older threads about how this came in as CYB-421, though I'm not sure if CYB courses are considered in the area of study.

Just curious if anyone else has tried this.

Replying to my own thread, just in case someone runs into the same issue. I've received confirmation and it's been updated on my transcript.

Yes, CAP-385 (2CR) from TEEX and AWR-177 (1CR) from TEEX can be used for a combined 3 upper level credits in the BSBA-CIS Area of Study. AWR-177 comes in as a single credit course for CYB-421.

Of note - These courses cannot be applied to the Area of Study for computer science, but for those doing a BSBA-CIS and a BA in Computer Science, you're not allowed ANY overlap of courses, so this should make it possible to achieve both degrees with enough UL credits from sources listed on Degree Forum.

Do you have a link to that CAP-385 course?  Those courses you took while ago, wonder if they still work today?

For UL BSBA CIS standard route is to take these courses for 12CR UL
Study.com  Systems Analysis & Design 302  (overlap CS)
Study.com  Database Management 303  (overlap CS)
Study.com  Management Information Systems 303  (overlap CS)
Study.com  Digital Marketing & Advertising 309  (not overlap)

Then for BA Computer Science degree, you would need is these for 15 CR UL

Study.com  Management Information Systems 303
Computer Architecture 306 (This is a required course in AOS)
