If one needed the extra credits but did the courses under the old system, could they retake the courses now and get the larger credit? i don't see why not, but i don't know how that works.
I was wondering the same thing. But to be honest I won't be bothering to be a guinea pig for that.

Yes, that should work. Just like if you take Applied Liberal Arts Math DSST and then take the TECEP, the TECEP boots out the duplicate course. They will use the most updated course to come in.
And, because the courses have been updated/changed (I'm assuming they were changed, otherwise I don't think ACE would have given them more credit), TESU and/or other schools may end up giving the new courses new course numbers - so your old AND new credits might count. That would be interesting.

I might be willing to try it out for the 1 credit I am looking for! But these are great developments. And it is only right that TEEX break up those looonnnnnnng courses into chunks.,

I'm enrolled in the BS in Data Science and Analytics from TESU. Would this change allow me to easily add a minor in Computer Science? I'm not sure how to see that in the degree evaluation.

@monroe18 there are no minors at TESU but you can add the ASNSM in CS to your eval...

What are the criteria for getting an Associates degree at TESU, in combination with a Bachelors? How many credits from my BALS can be applied towards my Associates degree, and how many extra credits must I have?

You can go online and run an evaluation from the "Academic Evaluation" section under Online Student Services. The box labelled "what if I changed my area of study" click the drop down and scroll to "ASNSM in Computer Science".
From there you can run an eval and see what you need.
If you decide you want it, contact advising and tell them to add it to your active programs.
If you're already getting a BA you can add the ASNSM in CS easily....The BALS will fill up your GE courses, so with TEEX and Study.com you can definately meet the requirements of that degree.
Take a read here on TESU's policies

Thank you. I will check it out. One question I have is regarding the Cornerstone requirements for ASNSM. On the TESU website it only shows TES-100. However, with these recent changes, will they now force me to take SOS-110?

Just curious. What are the advantages of getting an Associates degree on top of the Bachelors? Somebody enlighten me, please.

I guess it allows you the possibility of specialising in a different field from your Bachelor’s degree, while not having to spend as much money or time as getting a second degree. It is an additional qualification.
