I want to take a TECEP exam in December. Is there a window of when I need to sign up for the exam...for instance, I need to sign up 1 month before taking the exam? I'm not familiar with TECEP procedures at all.

Yes, you need to enroll in a term that covers December. You can start enrollment in the December term this Friday, October 14th. Right now it's late enrollment for the November term.

You register for a particular semester. You then take the TECEP exam anytime during the semester 12 week period. A new semester starts each month.
