anyone else have to go through this? I really have done multiple speaking events, mostly in the smaller conference room size and typically do an intro - quick point and q&a session in my industry. I'm somewhat getting tired of the hoops COSC makes me jump through, although I am so very very close (this waiver and the capstone/cornerstone is all I have left)
should I just create some outlines from memory and submit?

Yep - give them what they want! You are too close to change now, it's not like you have a lot of choices, unless you want to go take the Public Speaking DSST? It will be cheaper (and probably easier) to just jump through that last hoop!

Perspective grasshopper, of course there will be challenges but the upshot is you've completed the tail of a 4 year degree in like 6 months and never set foot in a classroom.
Knock out a few outlines, maybe get an employee or associate to write a quick letter thanking you for a speach you made. Be creative (but honest) and finish this thing!

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

I agree. Do what you have to do to get the waiver. If it doesn't work out, Straighterline's Intro to Communication will be the next best option.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

Does anyone know if this is an option at TESC? My husband regularly gives presentations to people for his job (he's in sales), and this would be a great way to bypass this requirement.
He could probably even video one of them for proof (he's giving a 2-hr presentation on Tuesday). He'll also have his notes, a PPT presentation, etc.

He can always try to PLA the class. He should look at the learning objectives in the syllabus and see whether he can make the case that they are covered in his experience.

would really rather not have to pay the $99 again plus the upgraded cost of straighterline rate for the class ($74)
I feel like I am going to keep pushing/fighting for this waiver until I get it
