Inquiry on testing out for bsc in organisational leadership

Hello! I'm an African with a high school science diploma. A member of this forum referred me to this forum as an excellent resource for those who want to earn their degrees without breaking the bank. I have a few foreign credits, but 'll like to know the fastest, cheapest way to test out of a BSc in organizational leadership from TESC or any other big three.

Unfortunately, you've chosen a degree plan which you cannot test out of. The area of study is mostly TESC online courses. Not sure if it's the most affordable or not but most who have taken this route combine alternate source credit [DSST/CLEP exams, Aleks and Straigherline (SL) courses] with TESCs comprehensive tuition plan $8,647out of state/international(which covers 36CR at one flat rate including courses and TECEP exams). Note: You could always search out the leadership courses elsewhere for better rates.

The plan outlined below is exactly 10 TESC Online courses and 2 TECEP exams. TESC semesters are 3 mos each so there are 4 semesters per year. You would have to take 3 courses (2 courses+1 TECEP for 2qtrs) per semester to complete within one year, all while knocking out the remaining DSST/CLEP/SL credits. If you are set on this plan, I would begin by completing all exams/SL and Aleks coursework first, then enroll at TESC and take 3 courses per semester. TESC courses are not easy, especially the upper levels. It would be best to commit yourself fully to the coursework to earn good grades. Hope this helps and Good luck to you!

Sorry, I have no idea where you can find the courses at a cheaper rate. You would have to research that yourself. I just included a general note because it is TESCs policy to allow outside courses to be transferred in, of course at this level it would have to be from a 4yr university.

If by science degree you mean BA Natural Science & Mathematics, that is a much more common degree here on the forum, just do a quick search. If Biology or Computer Science, you will find some additional upper level exams available via UExcel/ECE/TECEP. But ultimately I think you may still find yourself searching out courses to meet the 18CR UL requirement in the area of study. After researchng the degrees of interest you may find other options.

It would be easier to test out of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources/Organizational Management. I wouldn't advise that anyone get an undergraduate degree in leadership anyway. That should only be an advanced degree for those in management because leadership degrees don't really lay the foundation for anything.

JustCare, as Bricabrac as stated,f Organizational Leadership is a degree that is difficult to test out of except one is willing to take the classes at TESC and this ca cost you more. Sanantone has suggested a BSBA Human Resources/Organizational Management degree as it is test friendly than your initial choice. Another degree that everyone here agrees is test friendly (perhaps the most test friendly) is the BSBA General Management.

If you decide to go for the BSBA Gen Mgt degree, you can complete the degree in as little as few months to years- depending on the numbers of credits you have already accumulated. As an international student with previous university credits, you will need to have those credits evaluated by a US evaluator like the Educational Credential Evaluators http://www.ece.org etc and have them converted to US grades before TESC or any of the Big Threes will accept them.

Regarding sources of cheap/fast testing credits, I will suggest Straighterline ( Straigterline | Straigterline) . They offer almost all the General Education courses you need and some business and management courses too. The courses costs about 50 dollar each and a monthly subscription of $100. Let's say if you subscribe for Next month for $100 and you registered for 4 course which is $200 and are able to finish them within one month, you will be earning 12 of the 120 credits you need for 300 dollar. Ordinarily, 12 credits could cost as much as 3000 to 6000 or even more - depending on the school. You can earn up to anywhere between 60 and 70 credits from straighterline. Another cheap source of testing out credit is the Thomas Edison State College exams called TECEP. The way these exams work is this, rather than take college classes and submit assignments, if you think you are confident you can pass the final exam, you register for exam and take them online or via a proctor in a library. Once you pass, they will offer you credit for the course. A 3 credit TECEP exam costs less than $120. You csn get more info about TECEP exams here http://www.tesc.edu/degree-completion/Testing.cfm

If you are good in mathematics and statistics, you can use ALEKS http://www.aleks.com to earn up to 12 credits for very cheap amount. For Aleks, you subscribe for $20 and start taking the maths or statistics assessment and once you reach 70%, you can earn a credit for that.

As a new comer, most of these information may be too much for you to digest and understand. Don't worry, don't rush- just take some time and start reading posts, search the forum, use the search function on the forum to search old and current threads to understand so many things you need to know about. You will find out that by merely reading threads, most, if not all, of your questions will be answered
