Alright, I am studying for CLEP US History 1
I took this back in November and failed, then went and passed Analyzing and Interpreting Literature in December. At the end of February after studying for 6 weeks on US History 2 I felt extremely confident going into the test. I studied through Speedy Prep and the CLEP book, I failed that test too with a 45. Now I am back at it again with US History 1, i got instacert and am using that along with the CLEP book, anything else i could use to make me retain more or have a better chance at passing.
P.S. I have a deadline to take this test by the end of this month! HELP, I still do not feel prepared.

Are you using the instantcert specific exam feedback? I highly suggest that. Otherwise, I suggest you get the study guide from free-clep-prep.com and take the practice test on that site. My son also watched America the Story of Us or something like that on Amazon. It helped tie things together for him. We also used Education Portal and the Learner website. There are tons of options for US History 1 but it is a hard test because it covers so much. Good luck!
CLEP: US History 1
DSST: Intro to Computing, Intro to World Religions

Sophia: Art History
Straighterline: Intro to Environmental Science, US History 2, Western Civ 1, American Gov, Anthropology, West Civ 2, A&P 1, Medical Terminology
The Institutes: Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct

I sincerely suggest you use InstantCert. The pass rate of our members is fantastic, seriously. I'm not a fan of Speedy Prep, and I don't know which CLEP book you are using (there are tons of bad ones) but people who use IC to study pass. Tried and true gets my vote.
