Is it better to use the Study Guides, or the chapter quizzes (or both) to study for the final? I'm trying to take it by the end of the week, and it "looks like" (I could be wrong) that the Chapter quizzes and Study Guides appear to be only loosely related.

Instead of going through all the course material, what I did was only go through the quizzes and then skim through the book and take the practice final too. Spent ~3 hours due to being on a time crunch and I passed the exam in 20 minutes with a 72%.
The quizzes and practice finally really help on the final, so make sure you look anything up you don't understand and study it.

Good to know - there courses are painfully long (and a little disorganized)
