When do they require the residency waiver? I just played around in the graduation application section online and it seems they only asked for the 334 dollars. Of course I didn't go any farther as of now, but I'm just wondering when they ask for the other chunk of change.

They would check that you paid it, when they check your other graduation requirements (after they see you didn't take enough credits at the school).

Pretty much immediately. You'll be contacted shortly after applying for graduation wanting either the waiver fee or assurance that you'll meet residency.

I have the TEEX courses; I also have a 1 credit lab. If I can pull this off, I may be able to squeak under the wire for the July 1 deadline to apply for graduation for my AS. I realize that in the long run I may be cutting my nose off to spite my face (since I'll have more to do for my BS) but it's just a little nick, not the whole thing. I have to (rather it would be foolish not to) take two courses via study this month, may as well make them count toward the short term. The other three will come via StraighterLine. Ambitious, I know.... however, I've been averaging about 6 courses per month lately - I can do it if I want to.
... or not, who knows.
I just came to this realization today after putting everything together, thus my need for an expedient answer.
Why not consider getting the AS at the same time you get the BS? If you plan to get a bachelor's at TESU you could get stuck paying that $1800 residency waiver fee twice - possibly. That is what TESU told me just last week. The caveat to that is I've heard other people have been told that too (and others have been told the residency waiver lasts for a year). So I guess, its maybe a gamble that you'll get stuck paying it twice. Unless there is a real rush (for a job or something) then you might consider getting your bachelor's done and asking for the AS and BS at the same time - thus only having to pay one residency waiver and one graduation fee (they combine the two into one application). This is what TESU told me last week. I know it doesn't help for getting it done by the July 1 deadline and I don't know how close you are to getting the bachelors but it *might* save you $2100 in the long run.
