Feeling pretty frustrated. I failed Study.com's Financial Accounting three times. I have taken about 10 Study.com courses - including Advanced Accounting which I had no problem with. After failing the first time, I studied another week and they gave me a free retake. I failed again, so I went over the study guide based on the questions I got wrong. I'm feeling pretty frustrated because I studied all morning and just failed again. At this point I don't even want to waste the money attempting it again. Any suggestions?

Yes, the Saylor course will do for $25 bucks.
If you're already taking or will be taking Straighterline courses, that's another alternative.

Guess I could try the Saylor exam, I've taken a bunch of Saylor courses but always found the Finals for Study.com to be easier. I've never used Straighterine though so maybe that'll be a last resort.

I remember reading on here that an update on their grading policy now makes it possible for 33% of quizzes to be applied to our overall score (which, if I'm not mistaken, would lower the required final exam score to around 40% in result). I've sent an e-mail to Study.com regarding this; hopefully, I will get a response by Monday.

My teenage son is taking accounting 1/financial accounting at Straighterline right now and he will complete the course in under a week - the material is so much easier than I thought it would be, and there are only 4 tests, midterm, and open book proctored final. The final is worth only 20%, so if you do well on the 4 tests and midterm, you can bomb the final and still pass. My son has zero experience with accounting concepts beyond the bare minimum basics introduced in Intro to Business, so I was concerned he might struggle with this one - but it's been a breeze.
Here Researching for my son, who has done the following:
Community College: Intro to Philosophy, Fundamentals of IT, English Comp 1
Saylor: Intro to Business, Principles of Marketing, Corporate Communication
Shmoop: US History 2 (WGU won't accept this)
ALEKS: Int. Algebra, College Algebra
Study.com: Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, HR Management, Global Business, Advanced Operations Management
Straighterline: US History 2, Environmental Science, US History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Comp 2, Principles of Management, Business Law, Business Ethics, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Accounting 1,Communication, Managerial Accounting, Statistics
Ed4Credit: Managing Information Systems
Sophia: Project Management
WGU: Bachelors in HR Management
Second son is currently attending Penn Foster for his high school diploma, then on to Ashworth for An Associates in Criminal Justice

I'm getting the impression that Straighterline is the way to go for as many accounting classes as possible if you are looking for speed and manageability.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
