I was curious about the site mentioned, and "Education Portals" doesn't bring up anything that looks like free edu-learning. Mind sharing the link?

I seriously had never heard of it before, and they say they have 5 million students. <shrug> Well, if you're looking for history, there are a few other options you can try. I'm not going to say they'll be better or worse than what you experienced with the prior class, but you can check them out. Also, fwiw, I don't think free vs pay has anything to do with anything. I've paid a lot of money for crap, and have watched amazing freebies through open courses...just sayin! Saylor.org – Free Online Courses Built by Professors History « Saylor.org – Free Online Courses Built by Professors (direct link to history classes) Learner.org - an oldie but a goodie. These are video classes. The stats "Against All Odds" is a favorite of mine - but there are tons of history too. Here's the direct link: http://www.learner.org/resources/browse....ield2.y=13 Khan Academy - he's added history! Just noticed this "new" category the other day. https://www.khanacademy.org/humanities/history Feeling Ivy? All of these have history courses (free) YALE courses - I have a few favorites here too http://oyc.yale.edu/ MIT http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/find-by-topic/ Harvard- not as many, and changes from time to time, check back http://www.extension.harvard.edu/open-le...initiative

BTW, I completely disagree that kids will rebel as a result of not being exposed to other views of point. In my experience one of the biggest factors for kids rebelling from their parents Christians views is when the parents do not exhibit the qualities of Christ within the home. No victory, no joy and nothing that is attractive that creates an excitement to follow. Simply teaching kids to not do "bad" things is certainly not enough. More than that needs to be offered.
Since humans are individual beings they often rebel even when you do everything right. That's what people do...rebel. If that weren't true there would be no need for redemption.
