I tried doing a search on this topic and didn't see much. And yes they have some info in the Q&A Section on the SL website but it still doesn't clarify enough.... I have an Ace account already for my Aleks Classes. I just finished my first SL class and have about 5 more to do. Is it best to transfer my SL classes to ACE or directly to the college...or does it matter?? I have not transfered the ALEKS Classes yet as I plan on doing Cleps etc in the future and thought I would just wait until done with all the classes that would go on ace. Thanks for your advice

Transfer them to ACE. The college will not accept direct from SL; they will only consider them from an ACE transcript. As for waiting, someone that knows for certain can verify but I'm pretty sure I've seen it mentioned that you must transfer one SL course before beginning the next.

It truly depends on which college you plan to transfer them to. If you're transferring to one of the Big 3, I'd recommend transferring the credits directly to the college. Otherwise, check the transfer policies of the college you plan to transfer the courses to before making any decisions.
If you would like to see how the courses will transcribe to some of straighterline's partner colleges, you can do so here:
Straighterline Course Transfer

20-Community College Courses (2004-2006)
80-Semester Hours at Western Governors University (2010-2012)
15-Charter Oak State College (2013)
12-CLEP
3-DSST
6-FEMA
If I can do it, ANYONE can do it![/COLOR]

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe if you transfer them to a partner college direct from Straighterline, you get the grade that you had at Straighterline transferred as well. However, if they go through ACE, then you'll get a pass/fail on the transcript.

CLEPs will not transfer to ACE. I would have your Straighterline scores sent to ACE as you complete each class and then have Straighterline send your scores directly to TESC when you apply. Also, you do not have to transfer one course before starting the next, that is just for ALEKS to ACE.
BA in Natural Sciences/Mathematics, 2013 - TESC - Arnold Fletcher Award
AAS in Applied Computer Studies, 2013 - TESC
116 B&M Credits
32 FEMA Credits
9 ALEKS Credits - Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry
9 Straighterline Credits - Business Communication, Microeconomics, English Composition II
6 TESC Credits - Global Environmental Change
3 DSST Credits - Environment and Humanity
