Ivan, if you do a quick search of this forum, you'll read LOTS about Straighterline. The latest twist (this past fall) irked a lot of members. Straighterline didn't require proctors for its exams, and it now requires on-line proctors. As I said, search and you'll read lots.

Just took (and passed!) algebra & government through SL and am waiting on textbooks for 5 other classes (LOL..)
It is a great deal, but I can't give an accurate review on them because I didn't purchase the textbooks for the courses I've taken.
(which is a big mistake btw) There are presentations for each topic but they are nowhere near enough to get you a good grade on the tests. So buy the textbooks and you should be good. Wink shocker, right? haha. but it's a great program, imo. You can finish them as quickly/slowly as you want, which is great. It's true that you have to be proctored online for the final exam, but it's not really that bad. It's open book and you're allowed a sheet of notes..so basically they're making sure you don't google all the answers lol. I hear that a lot of times questions on the tests come directly from the book..but like i said i have no experience with that.
like laterboomer said though, there is quite a bit of info on this page about it.

I just finished Eng Comp I and II as well as Intro to Sociology. Definitely buy the book for sociology. I didnt at first and then started taking the tests and it was horrible. Then I rented and ebook (great deal by the way, way cheaper than buying it) and breezed through the class and passed with a solid B. The english classes arent bad at all. Just alot of writing!!! as expected.

Just be sure that SL is accepted by your target school. Not much point if you can't use the credits.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

You do not have to be enrolled to take the classes, but you will have to pay the TESC application fee of $75 to transfer them and then must enroll within 6 months or pay another application fee.

I just finished my sixteenth and final Straighterline course to round out my Associate's. They are the prime reason why I am making it through college, and why I am looking at very little debt when I eventually earn my B.A. Don't hesitate to use them.

One thing to keep in mind. Some of the new classes they added last fall haven't been evaluated by some of the partner schools, so you might have to add an extra step and send them through an ACE transcript, like I had to do. It's an extra $15 for the transcript, but it adds a well regarded academic record that nearly 2000 colleges in the U.S. accept. ACE is one of the partner "schools" on the SL site, in your membership page under Transcripts.
