Straighterline New Course - Book List
#1
Hi All,
I just got a message back from the Straighterline team about some of their new courses I'm interested in. I wanted a booklist so I could reach out and order these ahead of time, so right when the classes are available I can jump right in. Here is the book info:

A lot of these can be found on Amazon for less than $10 and can be combined for Free Shipping!!! Only 1 of these books cost more than $60, and the buyback is roughly 80-100% back of that, so overall not much of a cost for these!

Western Civilization I: Chambers, Mortimer, Barbara Hanawalt, Theodore Rabb, Isser Woloch, Raymond Grew, and Lisa Tiersten. The Western Experience, Volume I, 9th edition, McGraw-Hill, 2007, ISBN: 9780073259994 * Amazon has a few versions of this edition

Introduction to Criminial Justice: Bohm, Robert M. and Keith N. Haley. Introduction to Criminal Justice. 4th edition. New York, NY, McGraw-Hill, 2006. ISBN: 9780072961164 * Amazon has a few versions of this edition

Introduction to Nutrition: Wardlaw, Gordon M. and Anne M. Smith. Contemporary Nutrition, Updated Eighth Edition, McGraw-Hill. ISBN: 0077354818
*Expensive!!

United States History I: Brinkley, Alan. The Unfinished Nation: A Concise History of the American People, Volume I, 5th edition, McGraw-Hill, 2004. ISBN: 9780073513232

Personal Finance: Kapoor, Jack, Les Dlabay and Robert J. Hughes. Focus on Personal Finance, 3rd Edition. McGraw-Hill, 2009. ISBN: 9780073382425 *Expensive!!

Introduction to Sociology: Hughes, Michael and Carolyn L. Kroehler. Sociology: The Core, 8th edition, McGraw-Hill, 2008. ISBN: 9780073528120

Hope this helps everybody interested in the upcoming SL courses.

*News as of 10/20* Unfortunately the wait on these courses from ACE is taking longer than expected, so another 2-3 weeks is expected before these are released

Thanks for the info! I'm just hoping the courses are up by December. I'm thinking I'm gonna take a few to finish out my electives instead of taking DSSTs. I don't really care about the grade anymore (difference between a 3.5 and 3.6 isn't worth it to me) and I'm so tired of waiting four weeks for my DSST transcripts (my only option within 50 miles is paper-based!)

Sorry Erika,
I only asked about the classes I was interested in. I recommend sending them an email however (Contact Us on the website). Their staff is rather responsive, took about a day to get the information.
