Yes that was the thread! I think psych was the only subject like this, where there was a requirement for the final. All of the other classes I've seen the requirement is an overall 70% completion in the class with only a requirement to complete the final.
Currently studying for: Still deciding.

Question re: something you posted in your earlier message . . . Is the ebook/link to the ebook something you are able to share? Getting ready to start acc 101 & acc 102 with SL but I only have the hard copy of the book (purchased used on amazon). Having a searchable ebook would definitely be a benefit.
Thanks in advance!

I am taking Accounting II and doing extremely well. It seems that SL's Accounting II contains a LOT of stuff you learn in DSST Principles Of Finance and DSST Principles Of Financial Accounting. I've taken both of those exams and got really high scores on both. That in combination with using the search function on the ebook has put me in a position where I really won't need any points on the final.
Considering Excelsior only grants "P" for passing regardless of grade, I'd much rather forgo cramming for the SL final and move on to studying for my next CLEP.
I want to clarify my grade on the final can be any grade as long as I have achieved 70% mastery in the total course so far?
Or here's a different wording question.
Has anyone gotten a low score on the proctored final but still passed using the overall mastery of 70%?
Thanks!
Every class but 1, I've utilized a blind click through for the final due to my score being above 70% already entering the final. Lowest score was 30 something, highest was 70 something. I usually will just click B or C unless something just jumps out at me.
If there were a letter grade involved, obviously my strategy would be different. Due to the circumstances, this is the most efficient use of my time when it comes to completing classes.
The only difficult thing about it, is waiting for the ProctorU to get everything set up and ready to go. Usually having my proctor get me all situated and ready to go takes nearly double the amount of time as the actual exam.
