I've taken a few Straighterline courses and either bought the hard copy book or managed to find a PDF online. I just signed up for "Western Civilization" but was unable to find a PDF textbook online and I didn't want to wait for a hard copy to be mailed, so I went ahead and paid $58 for the eTextbook from Straighterline.
You're forced to use the web based reader using your web browser. The search function is terrible, the font is hard to read and the whole thing is pretty cumbersome to navigate. I downloaded the app to my android tablet and it's better, but I don't think that I will be permitted to use it during the proctored final.
Does anyone have a PDF of "The Western Experience, Volume 1"? I might have to order the hard copy, I feel like I threw away $58 on this.
