Thanks, Sanatone. I've ust signed up for Penn Foster's Business Stats. Let's hope I can pass. I'm not asking for much; just a pass.

Since I've tried to study stats a half a dozen ways, I figured I'd give the first exam a shot although I haven't gotten the textbook for THIS course yet. Sheesh. I got a 95% Why? 'cause I read too fast and clicked mean when I meant median. Of course, two or three other exercises in the exam showed that I knew what each term meant, but checking a wrong box is checking a wrong box. Or is it? Although it made no mention of retests, I went right back in and took the test a second time. I corrected my error, and now it shows two exam grades. With the Strategic Management exams, it had a place for you to re-take the exam, and it took your higher score. As it doesn't show a box marked re-exam, but it does lists both scores, I'll have to see what happens. Tests will surely get progressively harder, and I'm sure that the final will be really hard. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Pray if that's your thing. Not just for my grades, but that I keep with this and just don't give up. (That's my normal M.O.)

Thank you all very much. There are numerous reasons why I want a degree, but two of them are my niece and nephew. One, although bright, dropped out after his freshman year 10 years ago; the other had problems in her freshman year last year, and will, I hope, successfully work her way through them. I want to be an example for them of determination and perseverance. And it ain't easy! It is a bit easier, though, because of your kind thoughts and wishes.

As I haven't gotten my textbook yet, I think I'll hold off taking the second exam. I'll let folks know if there's acceptance of the retests.
