I am not going to transfer to Charter Oak until I am basically done and ready to take the Cornerstone IDS Class. The majority of my degree plan is now Straighterline classes. My question is where will my Straighterline Credits "live" until I transfer to COSC? Will I transfer them to ACE after I successfully complete an SL class OR will I transfer them directly to Charter Oak when I become a student there?
Can SL credits live/stay at SL even if you stop paying the monthly fee? Much of the guidance on the SL websites already assumes you are a student at a college. I want to save money and not become a student of COSC until the very end. I guess the only two possible paths that I can see here are:
#1. SL to ACE to COSC
#2. SL directly to COSC (how does this work if you are not yet a student at COSC?do the credits remain active/housed at SL if you stop paying the monthly fee?)
What steps do people here on the forums typically take with Straighterline?
Thanks.

I just sent mine to ACE and then pulled the trigger when I was ready. If your school is a partner with straighterline you can send them straight on over. I preferred to use ACE since I could just shoot from a single site.
Also, until you are enrolled at a school they won't accept a thing. Just bank everything at ACE.

I just transferred mine directly SL to COSC and that is what I recommend, less chance of something going awry. With that said, if I were waiting, I would have them transferred to ACE as a back up. No cost or anything, just create an account and have everything sent there as it's completed...that way you have a solid back up should something crazy happen to SL. It won't cost you anything and the scores are in two places, should SL act up at that later date use the ACE.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Thanks, the Straighterline website does not really address this. They assume you are already enrolled in a college. You would figure that SL would be aware of people like us who will hold off from enrolling with a college until enough credits are built up. Even the ACE transfer guide on the SL website assumes you are already enrolled in a college while taking an SL course.
I guess I will transfer my credits to ACE after each course I complete with SL. I am just curious, how long did it take on average for an SL course to appear on your ACE transcript after you completed an SL course?

I thought SL stores the credits that were earned and can log in their website even after stopping paying the monthly fee. Am i wrong?

I am unclear on this as well. If I can transfer it to ACE quickly then ACE will serve as a safe "holding ground" until I transfer to COSC. Based on the people who have commented previously with actual personal experience with this I am going to transfer my credits to ACE.

Straighterline will transfer directly to COSC. Yes, you can log into the website and request a transcript well after your subscription is up.
