Hey all,
Haven't been on here since I finished my first degree from TESC, I'm currently going b&m for an accounting degree.
My school is very good with accepting ACE transcripts and waiving courses, so I thought I would knock out business law 1 with a quick SL course.....NOPE:ack:
Took the first quiz and got a 68% !? Now I need to wait 24 hours to retry quiz 1.
I remember knocking out entire SL courses in <24 hours, have they updated their courses to be tougher or is this course in general just harder?
Just looking to vent a little frustration, and warn some folks that SL business law is no joke.:willynilly:
Has anyone else felt my pain in regards to this course?

I haven't tried this course on StraighterLine, but I've read other people posting this was hard
http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...e-not.html. Saylor has a Business Law course as well at
https://learn.saylor.org/course/bus205 if you want to look into that.
Why do you have to wait 24 hours? I thought you could reattempt the first quiz immediately on any StraighterLine course.

That is what SL is telling me, I must wait 24 hours to retry quiz 1. I took 8 SL courses for my first degree, and never had a need to retake one, so this is new for me.
I looked into the Saylor courses when they first came out, I found them rather confusing/difficult. But it's worth looking into again, thanks for the recommendation.

Ok, didn't know they did that. Hope you find something that works, good luck!

How did you get the option to redo the quiz one? I just checked their website in regards to retakes and it states there aren't any. Was there a technical glitch somewhere while you were doing the exam/quiz? Hmm... This is interesting just in case I needed to retake anything.

It's not a glitch. StraighterLine always allows [redacted, see edit] on the first quiz of each course.
Edit: They allow as many attempts as you want on the first quiz, not just 1.

I don't remember business law being super difficult, you did get the e-textbook right? Searching through it was key for me in pretty much every course I have taken through them.

Actually they allow as many retakes as you want on the first quiz, not just one. I did one of the financial ones like 8 different times I think.. haha. The 24 hour delay between attempts is normal as well.

What other courses were harder for you? I want to do their hardest ones first for some reason. :coolgleam:

I started the straighterline Business Law course and after the first exam, decided to take the CLEP. I used REA and the study guide on this forum and got a 65 on the CLEP after a week of studying.
