I am considering starting business communication to fulfill an "intellectual & practical skill" elective. But here's the catch, my S.L. subscription expires on 10/9. So I have 7 days to complete this course. The thing that worries me most about the time frame is the fact that the writing assignments can take 5+ days to be graded.
+Does anyone have any opinions on this course?
+Are any of the writing assignments overly difficult?
+Is it doable in 7 days?

It would be tight. You'd have to buy the e-book rather than order the paper version of the textbook, and get your writing assignments done in the first couple (and you'd probably have to skip out submitting the draft versions for feedback before submitting the final, and just go straight to the final version). I found they took longer to get graded than the English Comp assignments I did via SL previously. Would it help if I posted the written assignments here for you so you can see them before you buy it? (not sure if they're available to view prior to purchasing the course).

I had 2 papers graded within 3 days and 1 paper graded in 2 days. Your results may vary but it would be good to try and turn all papers in the same day/first day you enroll. The writing assignments are pretty easy - one short letter (1 page), 1 resume and cover letter (2 pages) and a short report (1200-1500 words). The short report takes some time but if you are motivated you can knock it out in a few hours. Grading is very generous so don't worry too much about perfect content.
English 2 papers took at least 5 days, not sure what's the difference.

It might depend on when you took the class, if a whole bunch of students are submitting assignments at around the same time I would think grading would take longer.
