State Reports on COSC & TESC
#1
For anyone thinking about COSC or TESC, I stumbled across some reports from state agencies that may help in reaching a decision (or at least satisfy some curiosity):

COSC:
Connecticut Higher Education Statistics
More like a compendium of different reports, but piece them altogether and you should find what you need.

TESC:

My degree is through TESC so this one attracted my interest the most.

I gave a quick look for Excelsior, but didn't find anything so I leave it to folks going to that school to post a link to any similiar reports for EC.

This is the most recent Annual Report that I could find:

https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_Coll...8-2009.pdf

This page gives a snapshot of Excelsior's Class of 2010:

https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_Coll...mmencement

Previous classes can be seen in the Commencement Archive.

I was surprised by how large the 2010 graduating class is - over 6000 graduates!

Excelsior College will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has over 130,000 graduates already.
AS in 2010 and BS in 2013 at Excelsior College - Transcripts and Costs
MS Biostatistics in 2019 at Texas A&M University - Graduate School

Sharing Credit-by-Exam* and Help for Veterans
Resources Used - 20+ Exams Passed & General GRE
Practice Tests - Available for CLEP and DSST

While scanning through the EC annual report, one thing I thought was interesting, found under the profile of David Elliot, AD of Lib Arts, was that EC has started offering face-to-face instruction at Fort Bliss in TX. Is anybody else familiar with any of the other big 3 doing this in any capacity?
I m edumakated thanx to distunce lerning.

Not sure about COSC, but TESC is also a B&M state college which is a big reason why I chose it. Of course the overwhelming majority of TESC's students though are online.

I haven't heard of TESC having B&M courses. What do they offer?

TESC has a building in Trenton but it is just offices and testing rooms. They do not offer any Face to face classes. It is a state college, but it is not a traditional B & M. They have the graduation ceremony at the Trenton War Memorial and they run the NJ State library, but they do not "own" these spaces.

Weird, I could of sworn that they had classes on-campus. Sure enough though: Thomas Edison State College | Campus With A History

Ah well, TESC fulfilled my biggest requirements: state college, regional accreditation, flexible on credits from other sources, online.

I still highly recommend TESC. The worst problem they have IMO is the lag time in getting paperwork from them, whether it's having an eval updated or getting a response to questions. All in all though TESC is good to finish your bachelor's.
