UL Math Options?
#1
My partner is applying to graduate schools but is a bit short on his math pre-requisites. Where can he take Calculus II, Calculus III, Matrix Algebra, Probability, and Calculus based statistics online besides UND and Empire State? He would be taking classes as a non-degree seeking student.

Thanks!

Does it need to be online? Your local Universities should have these courses, Calculus II can be taken at CC I believe.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Online would be easiest. We are both on call for our jobs and his work schedule is so erratic he cannot commit to a set class time. I have checked our local colleges online courses but those are very slim pickings.

That's gonna be tough since most online courses are designed to appeal to a larger audience (usually Gen Eds and business courses). I tried looking through SUNY learning network and only came up with Empire which you already know about. Hopefully someone that has already done the leg work can chime in.

U illinois and APU and Harvard have online mathematics degrees. You will need to contact the schools directly to see if they will allow non degree seeking students to take upper level courses. Hope this is a start.

Don't forget LSU Jaybird. Lots of great stuff there and the program gives you up to 9 months to complete. Here's a direct link for all of the math offerings. Calculus II and what may work as Calculus III is here depending on the requirements of the grad school that your partner is applying for. You'll also find a probability course. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
