Something instead of Precalc?

Is there a class I can take instead of Clep PreCalculus? I am getting a BSBA in Business Administration. I have been studying Precalculus Demystified, but when I go and take a practice test, I have no clue what the question is asking me to do. What should I do?

1) Keep studying for the CLEP and give it your best shot.
2) Consider Straighterline or ALEKs. Both are alternative means to meet the PreCalc requirement at TESC.
3) Struggle through the actual course.

Would that fill the requirements for that section of my degree? I'm thinking I'll just try and power through it even though it will take me a while.

Yes, Trig will fill the requirement for that section in a business degree. I actually did Trig a few summers ago. I had a tutor to help me get through. You can do it.

Cheapest route would be Trigonometry through ALEKS for $20.

What I think I am going to do is take the clep and save aleks trig for backup plan. Thanks for everybody's input!

STOP reading books to learn math.
START looking at worked out examples (preferably on video), and then do them yourself.

Math is a toolkit, and you're a handyman. Every concept in math is one of your tools. A good handyman knows his tools well enough to identify when and how to use them, especially together. Does that make sense? It's my favorite math analogy.
