well, according to my last tax filing: yes
and it turned a "you owe $..." to "you get a refund of $..."
I think it's actually illegal to claim education expenses if your employer reimbursed you with tax-free money (meaning the $5,250 that they can claim on THEIR taxes). If they report it to the government, you may be unhappy with the results...
