I will have my Socioloogy Clep test tomorrow morning. Just a little nervous. BTW I was charged 137 dollars - is that the norm or was I overcharged? I will let you all know how I did.

The CLEP exam fee is $77. Each test center charges an additional administration fee and sets its own policy for payment. Now, usually, the clep testing center fee is about $20. In your case it might be a lot more. In either case, a clep test should be no more than $100.

If you live close to a DeVry campus, they don't charge an administrative fee. You pay $77 and that's all. University of Phoenix charges about $15, Strayer University about $20.

My test center charges $50. I'm in Cali --seems like many things are more expensive here .

I test at UofP and my total is $90.

In checking all of the CLEP and DSST test centers in our area, $50 is the highest admin fee I have come across. I would say the test center you are planning to use is way overpriced. For future tests, have you checked around to see what other test centers are still within your area but more reasonably priced?

I took this CLEP last Friday and failed it. 48 out of 50. I was shocked by the content it presents. Good luck!
