So here I am working my butt off since I've been 16 trying to live right and do the right thing. I'm just now accomplishing some long-desired educational goals and that has not come easy either. It's been a lot of hard work. So here comes this fella with his criminal history and criminal present and based solely on "looks," he's got an agent (not out of jail yet) and a possible modeling career. Well, alrighty then...
On the other hand, does he deserve a second, third, or whatever chance and isn't it better that he has the opportunity to make an honest income, get away from the gang lifestyle, and live off of his own income rather than others' tax dollars (i.e. jail) where he will surely learn to become a better (or worse) criminal?
'Hot Mug Shot' Felon Signs With Agent For Modeling Contracts - ABC News
Would your opinion change depending upon the type of crimes he's committed. For example if he robbed an ATM vs. involved in sex trafficking, would that color your opinion?
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

Wow, he is gorgeous! Michael Ealy, step back jack.
Hope this opportunity will give him a chance to move forward in life. Hopefully, he'll reach out and help a few others along the way. Street life is not a goal, it's an unfortunate reality; kill or be killed.

Without really knowing the details of his life, I'm sure things are always more complicated than the media portrays them, and I'd prefer prison focused on rehabilitation anyway. Hopefully he turns his life around.

Call me superficial, but he is hot. (Not a big fan of tats, though.) Of course, being a good girl, the fact he's a criminal is probably a big part of his attraction. (Sick, I know.)
As to how others get ahead, I'm not going to try to think too much on it or it would make me crazy. The lessons we were taught about be good, work and study hard, aren't really keys to success. They do tend, however, to ensure our parents didn't have to go down to the local jail to bail us out.

Oh you guys!
LOL. I wasn't expecting a bunch of comments like that. You are right though. Media puts a spin on everything. When I read this article, I was reminded of Frank Abagnale who was a criminal and con and is now a very big deal in a positive way in the realm of fraud prevention.

First off, even in the world of modeling, with the tattoos he has his modeling career will be very limited & probably filled primarily with lower paying gigs. The media likes to blow steam & turn things into a sensation. The fact is though that companies with high end products/equipment aren't going to want him around because of his felony convictions that tie back to theft & guns. No one wants to be held-up, & no one wants thousands of dollars of stuff to go missing. He is any insurance liability to any legitimate company. He'd be more likely to break into the subculture markets that glorify criminals, gangs, rap, hip hop, & all the tattoos. The things with that though is a lot of the "companies" aren't lefit, & he may be promised paychecks that he'll never see.
I may be one of the few who isn't going to swoon over this guy. The whole bad boy thing is a total turn off to me... they do nothing but screw up a woman's life, & I've had plenty of that in the past... I'm over it.

As a corrections officer, I am INCREDIBLY biased.....but here's my 2 shekels...
This felon has multiple convictions in his history, and for me, this has proven his unwillingness to follow social rules. Everyone keeps saying he's changed. However, I don't think he's had enough time to change (considering that the mugshot everyone is freaking out over was taken less than two weeks ago when he was charged with 6 new felonies). But that doesn't seem to matter. Society is giving this guy a free pass because he's pretty.
He might be singing about how he's going to be a different person when he gets out, but it's a song I've heard many MANY times before. I'm not saying this guy can't change, but it's going to take a LOT more than 2 weeks for him to prove it to me.
How many of our nations former military members are there who are unemployed, but probably JUST as attractive as this guy?

Well, his agent is receiving death threats. His agent seems to specialize in representing sleazy people like Michael Lohan, Tila Tequila, Farrah from Teen Mom, and Octomom. I read that he landed a contract with Blaze Models.

Don't forget, we live in a world where reality TV costs next to nothing to produce and gets devoured ravenously. That seems like a better direction for him than, say, Calvin Klein ads.
