SQA level 5 standard is lower than UK Ofqual Level 5. If you are going for upper level courses. This is a big deal.
Do check at https://eduqual.org.uk/about/recognition...1738281250
and
https://scqf.org.uk/about-the-framework/scqf-database/
and
https://register.ofqual.gov.uk/
So this means the course is actually a High School-level class? I just noticed they changed the accreditor(was ATHE) and also changed the course name(it used to be "Advance", not Advanced).
So, this one should work, right? https://www.lsib.co.uk/course-details.as...rd=Diploma
School of Business and Technology London Is having a sale. Much cheaper.

Have tried with that school, their site is really slow, their staff unresponsive and their "ILM Accredited" courses aren't actually accredited, are an unregulated provider with no recognition(their OTHM ones seem legit, but they don't have any IT related careers with those)

Yeah, that's not the only non-regulated option, IBT is another one that isn't regulated, these are probably the cheapest offerings they have. There are a few options for OTHM from level 4,5,6 that are in IT, then Level 7 that can be considered CS/IT, they're in Data Science, Immersive Software Engineering (I kind of like both of these too) and then there is the DBA here:

Seems great, I found out they have a Level 5 Extended Diploma in Information Technology, but, they say it takes 2 years:
The LSIB one is 9 months(
https://www.lsib.co.uk/2022/course-detai...ma#funding), is it legit for top-up purposes?

Yes, that's good... There are only a few UK providers that you want to go for that have the recognized framework.
Review the provider - If it's not in this list, it's not going to be recognized as per the register link I mentioned earlier.
UK - an Awarding body by the UK Government’s regulator - OfQual
- ATHE
- OTHM
- Qualifi
- Learning Resource Network (LRN)
- CMI
UK - an Awarding body listed on Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF)
- EduQual

Here's an update, ILM is accredited (mainly vocational), they're a subsidiary of City & Guilds, so they actually are recognized. It gets complicated as there are so many frameworks bunched into the education system, people also need to know the difference between awards, certificates, diploma as the number of credits determine that level and parchment you receive.
