Sister #1's TESC BSBA Marketing plan
#1
Hello all! Well, I'm finished with my degree, but I'm now preparing TESC degree plans for my 2 younger sisters who've just graduated high school this year. So happy to see them going this excellent route too! Big Grin

Here's the BSBA Marketing plan for the one sis. I heavily used Sanantone's BSBA Marketing plan on the wiki - thanks for that, Sanantone!

If anyone would look it over and see if everything looks okay, I'd appreciate it. We're going for the Per Credit tuition plan, so she's needing to take 8 TECEPs.

Looks great to me! You could also use ALEKS for Intermediate Algebra as a gen ed elective, College Algebra and Statistics for degree requirements, and Trig or PreCalculus as another gen ed elective. What you have is fine, though.

Also, the replacing the DSST with the TECEP Technical Writing would add an easy-ish TECEP.

Oh, and Saylor offers Managerial Communication, Calculus I, College Algebra, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Business Statistics (OPM-351), Business Law, and Intro to Western Political Thought through NCCRS, as well as Biology and Chemistry through ACE, if you'd like cheaper alternatives for any of those classes.

Sanantone and others have mentioned that the DSST Business Ethics and Society is very manageable and could fulfill the Business/ Society requirement. You could use the TECEP Environmental Ethics instead of the UExcel, and replace DSST Modern Middle East with CLEPs in Sociology and Anthropology, or with TECEPs in Marriage and the Family and Psychology of Women. I would try to avoid the UExcels if possible.

Don't forget about the 12 no-cost hours available through ACE: Kaplan PLA 3, NFA 3, and TEEX Cybersecurity 6 for your free electives.

Good luck, WesternerSister1! Smile

With the $50 testing fee, I would avoid the Uexcels too unless absolutely necessary. Taking Labor Relations makes sense, however. You can model the gen ed, free electives, and business core off of my attempt to make the cheapest plan possible for TESC.

I'd forgotten about ALEKS - I think she can definitely use that for the math stuff.

I have 8 TECEPs in the plan now, so I think we're good there. Smile

That's a great point! It'd be better to use Saylor's Managerial Communication instead of the Uexcel I have there now. We could also do a Saylor course, see its difficulty and whether she prefers that to a CLEP or DSST, and then make more switches.

Good point. I'll try to rework it so we don't have any Uexcels. Just looking at the content of some of these, she said she's not very fond of the subject of Environmental Ethics, but we'll see Wink

I've seen this before, but I overlooked it this time. It's really helpful, thanks!

So, I edited my first post to include some of this feedback. Once again, thanks guys! Big Grin
