#1
Hey,

I don't know if an official thread has been started for everyone that is shooting to complete their degree by 12/2011 or not. If so please direct me to it.

If not I would like to start this one here. If everyone could introduce themselves along with their degree plan and how many credits you have left to finish out before 12/2011. Also what ways have you gone about gaining the credit. Share your story please Smile

I hope to graduate then! I started with 0 credits in January 2010, and today I am waiting on my last 6-credit course to begin (May 1st) with 114 credits earned completely through testing! :coolgleam:

I'm going for a BA in History. My degree plan is attached. I've done everything up until now via CLEP, DSST, FEMA, and one ECE. It's been an awesome journey. I've really enjoyed it, and I know I couldn't have done it nearly this fast - or well - without InstantCert and the amazing people on these forums! Thanks so much, y'all!!!

My goal is December(ish) of 2011. I am also going for a History degree from TESC. I've used CLEP and Dantes and a couple online CC classes (with a few more to go). Right now I'm working on my last three tests, which will hopefully be done by summer. During summer I'm going to work on FEMA plus one online class (plus a full-time summer job). Then for my last semester I hope to take three community college classes and then I'll be done! I'm enrolling in TESC some time in June or July.

Here is my degree plan.
It is subject to change because I might decide on different classes to take.

I am also (coincidentally) trying to finish by December 2011. I have 84 credits so far.

I am doing a double major in Accounting and Finance through TESC, so I'll need 138 credits to graduate.

Way to go with the double major MA2. I didn't realize you were doing that. Thats probably the best thing to do to cover all of your bases and end the question of what to major in.

For all you TESC people, the last few months is the worst. If you want to finish in 12 months, plan for 9 at the maximum to get everything done.
TESC takes its sweet time in grading tecep tests and posting CLEP tests to your transcript.

Hmm. That could be a problem since my last few community college classes will end on 12/19. I suppose that means I'm realistically looking at around March.

Once upon a time...

I was homeschooled my whole life until I graduated in May '09. Needless to say, testing has helped my self discipline, and pushed me to greater excellence. This type of testing was really new to me at the time.

My journey started in summer '09. Today I have 105 credits through CLEPs, DSSTs, FEMAs, Straighterline.com, and Columbia College. I'm hoping to complete my BSBA in Finance at TESC by August 1, 2011. I'll then finish up the extra credits needed for my BA in Economics at TESC by late 2011, early 2012.

At this point I'm taking an investment course from Columbia College, and Managerial Communications from TESC. The communications course is to get my TESC GPA. I sneak a few tests (CLEPs, DSSTs, ALEKS) in between courses. I have 11 courses to meet my summer goal. I was hoping to graduate in September so I could be in this year's commencement ceremony, but my last course will end July 29, and I believe the all coursework is required to be submitted by June 1st. If anyone knows if this is correct or if TESC will be able to squeak me in. I'd appreciate any info.

Well that's about it for me. Good luck to everyone on their goals. :hurray:

LOL Smile- that looks and sounds very bad. that is why you should not post when tired... Smile

All of your degree plans sound great. My degree plan is for BSBA in Gen Mgmt. I had 92 credits before but I guess when I forwarded my final degree plan over I lost two credits somehow Sad. So I only have 90 credits right now. I plan to take 6 credits starting the 1st with TESC, then once I am planing exactly 3 courses with penn foster, then i will take a humanities test (haven't decided on which one, money and banking along with business and ethics in society from dantes, for the final exam i know TECEP is an option but i may just take the course at tesc. My degree plan is below.
