Several Questions for TESU, SL and Study.com
#1
Hi Everybody,
Hope you are doing well. I am about to start my membership for SL and study.com, but before that, I have a couple of questions that want to get your answers:

1. For SL, is there a way for pausing my membership (e.g. I still can resume my unfinished courses after resume)? I know study.com has such an option.

2. For study.com, it indicated assignments and final example can all be re-taken or submitted for a couple of times. So my question is: for a given course, when does the study.com know that you are not going to try further and it is time to generate your final grade for this course? Is there a button or sth to let you inform study.com that you decide to finish this course?

3. For TESU, it seems so far, I already met all the area of study requirements for my major in TESU, and one course I have to take is  APS-401 Current Trends and Applications. Do you know: can I take it right away, or TESU has a very strict policy that this APS-401 has to be the last course? Can I negotiate it or nobody cares about this and I just go for registering this course?

Thank you very much for your info!!!

1.) I believe that you can stop paying your $99 membership fee and the SL courses that you've purchased will still be there when you resubscribe. But I think they also have some kind of time limit (6 months? 1 year?) from when you purchase and/or start working on them.

2.) As soon as you hit 70% on a course, SDC considers that you have finished the course. If you really want to resubmit a paper for a higher grade, I think you can, but te final grade doesn't necessarily matter. It depends on what school you're going to. For instance, TESU only shows SDC courses as a "CR" grade whether you passed with a 98% (A) or a 72% ©. There are schools where it does matter, though.

3.) TESU requires that you have completed at least 100 credits before you are allowed to register for the capstone. Once you have hit that milestone, you're allowed to register for the capstone. It doesn't have to be the very last course you take.

I think you have to have most (all?) of your UL Core/AOS courses completed, as well as meeting the 102cr limit, before you can register for the capstone.

I didn't see this mentioned but there is also a GPA requirement with the capstone policies. students wishing to register for a capstone course must have a GPA of 2.0 (in addition to the minimum of 100 credits of course). Check your evaluation if there is something else specific in your case of course.
