Seeking input on my BSBA degree plan
#11
I have done some research in the threads. I think I'll do Intro to Stats. It is a prereq for some grad work I'm considering. If I can get credit for Business Stats, I might modify my plan to include it though. $20 for 3 credits is nothing to sneeze at.

If I can get the info about the correct order to pursue the degrees, I'll be one step further. Thank you all so much!

I was wondering why it wasn't a social science. It's good to know that it is, in case I have to modify my degree plan later.

I have a question for you about stats with ALEKS. I noticed on your degree plan you took Business Stats and Intro to Stats. There also is Stats for Behavioral Sciences. Do you have a recommendation for which one to take to fill the Stats requirement for the BSBA? Also has the question ever been answered about whether TESC will still grant credit for both Business Stats and Intro to Stats?

And my last question: After I finish my BSBA in General Management, I want to get a second bachelors -- either a learner- designed conflict resolution degree or a BSBA Real Estate. Is there a particular order in which I should take the classes to minimize the additional credits needed? I see that you got 4 degrees, so I think you may be the perfect person to ask. Thanks.

Yes, TESC has revised their acceptance of multiple stats courses and now will only accept one. It is your preference but I found intro to stats both an easier and shorter course than business stats. But if a prereq for masters just take whichever course title is necessary.

Summary regarding two degrees, you will need to earn 24 new credits for the second degree but you cannot earn two of the same type of degree. What you might do, if you want two BSBAs is to request a dual program. I think you need only 18 additional credits to fill the second area of study and you complete both at the same time. If you want to earn a BA or BS leave 24 credits in the area of study to fill after the conferral date. This has all been discussed in depth, just do a search.
