I haven't heard of this guy. He claims to have the second highest number of degrees behind Michael Nicholson. Unlike Nicholson and the guy with 14 associates degrees in criminal justice and business, there is a little variety in Benjamin Bolgers degrees. There's still so much overlap, I don't find the feat impressive, but at least he was able to get into top-ranked schools with dyslexia.

Wow, Michael Nicholson went to school for 55 years! How can one go to school for that many years?
That would be expensive, even if he was working at the school for free tuition, I wonder what work he did for those years.

If I remember correctly, he mostly worked as a janitor. He seemed to get a lot of his degrees from the same schools. Bolger moved all over the place. He's a visiting professor. He works at a prestigious school, but isn't that usually a part-time job? He might have switched to online schooling now since he earned a degree from Ashland.

Usually, behaviors aren't classified as a psychological disorder until they have a substantial, negative effect on the person's life. If he were homeless and/or in hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, then he might fall into some category. Probably a compulsive disorder.

I guess working as a janitor at a school would be a way to get an incredibly cheap education. I wonder which school is hiring!

He was a janitor at Harvard, but if I recall correctly he had complete disdain for academia and wasn't attending (but was self-teaching, possibly with their resources?)
I haven't seen it in a long time though.

I thought he couldn't afford it, but ended up being discovered my a math professor doing a problem on the board that no one else could do? Yes, it's been a long time...
