My wife is interested in obtaining the TESU Associate in Arts. She would like to do this as cheaply as possible and is trying to use as many Saylor courses as she can get to transfer into that particular degree plan. Can anyone verify whether or not the courses in her current plan draft (attached) will transfer in where she's placed them?
First, I think you should consider the COSC AA, I think it's cheaper. And they will accept free FEMA courses, which TESU will not.
Also, if you want to save some money, you can do ALEKS' Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Precalc/Trig, and Stats at COSC (or those minus Beginning Algebra at TESU) for $20 for a month.
Another cheap way to get courses is through Shmoop which is $85/month, unlimited courses.
Last but not least, the General Education Electives is not required to be Gen Ed - it should be called Free Electives, and you can use Business courses there if you want.
If you end up going through TESU, you will want to take Study.com courses (at least a month), because it will change the Residency Waiver fee from $2500 to $1800. It expires 6/30/18, so get those courses (and the degree) before then.
