Can I take the exam more than once?

Yes, you can take the exam as many times as you wish. There is a two week waiting period between attempts and each attempt will incur the $25 USD proctoring fee if using ProctorU.

Thanks for getting in touch. Some of the exams do have a maximum of three attempts for the Direct Credit exam. I'll update our FAQ to clearly say so.

To answer your question, yes -- once the three attempts were used up, a student would be locked out of further attempts (and a transcript wouldn't be issued for, say, a successful fourth attempt).

The regular (non-credit) final exam is a good resource for practice. We have some tips for studying after an exam attempt, here: https://sayloracademy.zendesk.com/hc/en-...inal-Exams
