Has anyone on here done this course without purchasing the lab kit?
I'm not bad when it comes to A&P and am wondering if the lab kit is "really" that necessary??

You would most likely have to still find the materials required to do the labs (sometimes they make you upload photos to make sure you did the labs). Have you already purchased the course? Cuz if you have you can go in and look over the requirements for completion and the materials you'd need. You could try and find the materials elsewhere and then do a cost-comparison with the lab kit if you found everything you needed.

Thank you for your reply. Wow, photos?
No I haven't purchased the course, I was just looking into it as I did A&P many years ago and thought this would be reasonably easy credit, but if I need to seriously do dissections in my house I think I'll pass :ack:
It'll be the A&P without lab

If you've already gotten credit for A&P you won't be able to count it again.

Would've been nice to have USA credit for what I've studied, but my ancient British education was pre-computer and my school has been a grocery store for many many years the records have long since disappeared, even back then, they were only kept for 3 years

Np Yep, and then after you upload they go in and check your uploads to make sure you actually did them. You'll get a notification the lab work was "graded" which I think means someone looked it over and decided you did an okay job (no grade actually appears though and labs don't count as part of your course grade).
I seriously doubt you'd be having to do a dissection, good luck though with the class.

No dissection? I wish .... They send you a dead baby pig :ack: with that, one can only presume dissection .... I looked over the lab kit first before asking on this forum if I could do it without.
I'd really like to know how they send that sort of thing internationally, I'm in the UK and somehow think "dead pig" would raise eyebrows when arriving at customs

Oh well then maybe. I haven't taken A&P w/ Lab so I can't be certain. xD
