Ok, so I finished both SL pharmacology courses over the last three days. I wasn't thrilled with the textbook, it wasn't a very easy read and it didn't have a full-featured glossary and when you tried to look up the drugs in the index they were only listed by the chemical (generic) name instead of a brand-name. I did find a typo/error in the pharmacology II mid-term exam. There wasn't as much repition of questions from the graded exams in the mid-term and final as there was in the medical terminology course. It seemed that the exams focused on specific chapters instead of a questions representing all the relavent chapters. Some chapters didn't have a single exam question either in the graded section exams or mid-term or final. I ended up with decent final grades considering that fact that I didn't really study the text and just mainly used my previous knowledge. I averaged about 1 minute per question, so there was more than enough time to complete each exam. Now I just have to wait and see how this new course is transcribed at EC since they don't have it listed on their site and they don't offer a similar course. I'm also curious to see how ACE transcribes it. Wouldn't you know I paid for the third course last night and this morning I get a discount code offer from SL. I don't need any other courses, so it's kind of a bummer I couldn't use it for the last class. Oh well, all in all I just hope they get my transcripts sent out promptly. My first request was done on Friday but it hasn't been sent yet. We will see how long it takes with the holidays thrown in. I hope this helps those considering taking this course. I also recommend you purchase a drug reference manual or PDR as some questions reference them, but I didn't see that listed as a required text. Good luck!
