I've heard there's been improvements since I used it (many years back), sounds like that may be true.

Since the OP is Military using SOFTS is, IMO, the best option available (probably not until he gets back from the sandbox though). Structured (but flexible) classes with native speakers (who are also actual licensed teachers) will always be better than pure software. SOFTS is also based around the DLPT, designed to move you up levels (so base vocab and grammar is based around the next level test).
